Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in C/C++, Oracle DDL/PL/SQL, and Cobol (desirable).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential, along with a team-oriented approach. The candidate must provide clear progress updates and raise issues promptly.
  • Work Schedule: While shifts are typically fixed with weekends off, flexibility may be required for night, weekend, or holiday work based on business needs.

Programming and Testing:

  • Coding and Testing: The candidate translates designs into code, creating and executing detailed test plans covering critical scenarios. They must escalate design issues and coordinate with other teams, such as making requests to the DBA team or coordinating with onshore counterparts.
  • Bug Fixing: Responsible for investigating and fixing bugs in builds, determining root causes, and requesting migrations to QA/Prod environments for deployment of fixes.
